FAQs
What is the first visit like?
An initial visit lasts up to 120 minutes and is centered around information gathering. In this visit, we will discuss your personal and family health history, current diet and lifestyle practices, and a physical exam if conducted in person. Often lab tests are ordered at the first visit. You will leave this visit with preliminary diet, lifestyle, and supplement recommendations.
How will my care work with my primary care provider or other specialists?
Licensed naturopathic physicians serve as a bridge between conventional and alternative treatments. We are trained to understand drug-herb interactions and can prescribe medication when conventional treatment is needed. I frequently collaborate with other members of your medical team to ensure everyone is working together.
How often are visits?
Following your progress after your initial visit is an essential part of your treatment plan. The second visit is 1-2 weeks after the first to review lab results and discuss future plans. After that, we check in as often as needed to offer support and guidance and to adjust your plan accordingly.
What payments do you accept?
Visits can be paid for with cash (if in person), credit card, HSA/FSA, or other money transfer apps.
Please know I am not a contracted provider through any insurance plan or insurance company. I encourage patients to be aware of their coverage and benefits for both in-network and out-of-network providers as some costs could potentially be reimbursed by some PPO plans as out-of-network services. A superbill can be provided upon request to submit it to your insurance for reimbursement.
