Hi, I’m Dr. Melissa
Dr. Melissa Gibbons (she/her) is a board certified Naturopathic Doctor and Midwife licensed in the state of Arizona and New Mexico.
I believe that the body knows what’s best for itself and, given the right conditions, can heal itself. This approach allows me to share my knowledge and guide my patients through a shared decision-making process to come up with an individualized plan. Knowing that health encompasses the entirety of a person’s experience, my ability to see the bigger picture of a person’s health allows me to accompany people along their healing process and help them establish a strong foundation for lifelong health. I am committed to social justice and equity since there is no personal health without a healthy community and world.
Born and raised in Northern New Mexico, I was exposed to natural medicine from an early age. Growing up, medicine was a combination of conventional approaches and healthy food, herbs, and homeopathics. As a child, I was often found walking barefoot through forests and arroyos and this strong connection to the natural world continues to inform my life and medical practice. I can still be found hiking, exploring canyons with ropes, or climbing the occasional tree.
